Custom Cut and Tagged Backyard Basketball Court – Torquay Beach House

This coastal backyard project took us down to beautiful Torquay where we transformed an awkward L shaped space into a functional, stylish and high performance 55m² Basketball Court. Designed to complement the home’s beachside look, the court features a bright blue key, charcoal blue outer tiles and a layout that extends the alfresco area while improving the view from the balcony above.

Clever design for a unique coastal space

The court was fully custom cut to suit the long, narrow and L shaped section of the yard. The blue key provides a vibrant focal point, while the darker charcoal blue outer tiles visually open up the space and tie in with the fencing and coastal aesthetic of the property. Glow in the dark line markings give the court definition during day and night, and the Slam Man logo adds a clean signature finish. To make the space personal, the kids’ names were added into the outer tiles, creating a court that feels like part of the home.

Built to maximise play and liveability

The Torquay Beach House court was cut and installed onsite to follow every line and corner of the space, creating a polished result with no gaps or wasted area. The extended play space, hidden concrete and upgraded visual flow from the alfresco and balcony make this small court feel much larger than its footprint.
